Site dedicated to VTOL crafts development, based on the Axless’s structure  of “electro-magnetic engines” composition. citing “engine” , as an assembly of different components required to conform an independent system.

Our Axle-Less engines offer a unique design, capable of expanding it’s prototypes size spec’s  to dimensions never seen before, without the need of a solid and heavy metal shaft, on the contrary, the increment in size will benefit the craft stability, by widening it’s hollow center of gravity…the design also allows the advantage of incorporating both, electro-magnetic motor and generator forces in one engine assemby. A simple Axless VTOL spacecraft design* will require of two “engines”, composed of two motors and two generators, one engine assembly, comprising a motor and a generator will rotate clockwise, while the second engine will do it counter-clock wise, the center or static part is a common shared ring shaped structure, consisting of a two level compartment for both engines, when increasing the RPM’s of the main rotors at identical opposite forces will result in a zero torque at the center engine compartment.

Vertical lifting will occur when both blades will cut the wind forcing it downward at a minimum pitch angle of 6º (understanding that also the reaching of the required RPM’s according to the total weight versus the lifting force ratio is satisfied, and that factor varies according to every specific model and design)…while start up from zero to help fight the inertia factor and gain speed in shorter terms will require a 0º or ¨flat cut¨ position of the blades, which are designed to travel from +15º to -15º, the negative angles are designed to invert the air flow upward, keeping the rotation without the need of reversing direction, and it is used at high level altitudes to activate the ¨re-generating stage¨ where motor function will cease and generators will activate, using the wind entering from the lower area, the upper body air exhaust flaps will close, re-directing the air flow downward thanks to the UFO-Frisbee shaped body design, allowing the craft to “flow and glide” down in a smooth fashion.

An Axle-Less engine does have a center shaft or axle… it is just “imaginary”, however, the area of rotation determined by the radius of the armature rings defines this “virtual-existing axle”  phisically and real, granting the stability factor to directly proportional  rates with the rotating diameter area… without adding any weight to the embodiments.

* In more complex designs, that we will describe further on, a single Axless engine could carry two “partial” generators, an exteriorly located one, in the rotating area or “outboard”,  and a second one located in the main frame of the static area (inboard).
